Mont-Tremblant, Quebec - May 15th, 2026

Search for missing man Liam Toman intensifies with spring ground search this weekend; family launches blue wristband awareness campaign as appeal for information continues

GoFundMe campaign will help continue the search as the family also pushes for strong safety measures for all

The family of young Ontario man Liam Toman who went missing on a ski trip in Quebec in February 2025 is intensifying efforts to find him with a large-scale volunteer ground search, together with SARCAN K9, in Mont-Tremblant on May 16-17. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the brind'O Aquaclub (141 Chemin de Kandahar) for 9 a.m.

The family is also launching a Circle of Strength awareness campaign of blue wristbands, which brings together a community of hope to keep Liam’s story from fading. They will be available at two pop-up locations in the pedestrian village this weekend and by contacting findliamtoman@gmail.com

“What gives us strength is the community that has formed around Liam and the hope that today is the day we learn something that will help us find him,” Liam’s mother Kathleen Toman said on behalf of the family. “The Circle of Strength, in Liam’s favourite colour, symbolises this for us. Every bit of information matters and will help lead us to him. That support means everything.”

Liam’s family continues to work with the Mont-Tremblant community, the police, forensics analysts and the media in ongoing efforts to find him, gather information that could lead to answers, and improve visitor safety and security in Mont-Tremblant through expanded measures.

Authorities have not ruled out criminal activity. Now in 2026, Liam’s community at home, in Mont-Tremblant, and across Canada and beyond remains committed to continuing this search for as long as it takes, and every detail that can be gleaned through searches or information from the public matters. A reward of $50,000 is being offered for information that leads to finding Liam.

But more help is crucial. Even a small donation to Help Find Liam Gabriel Toman can help move the search forward in a meaningful way:

●    specialized search and support teams;

●    mobilization and tracking efforts that complement official investigations;

●    advanced analytical, legal, administrative and forensic tools;

●    expanded searches;

●    continued on-the-ground engagement in Mont-Tremblant;

●    public awareness and information collection efforts;

●    work to promote enhanced security measures for visitors and residents.

Following ongoing advocacy efforts by the family and community, the community around Liam is hopeful that specific security actions have begun to be implemented.

“We want people to be safe, not just feel safe. We are turning this circle of strength for Liam into action,” said Kathleen Toman. “In addition to upgrades and new lighting, we are told there is a comprehensive security audit underway to help find and guide any further actions that could strengthen existing security measures; these are positive steps, and we will continue to advocate for meaningful outcomes.”

Reward for Liam Gabriel Toman

Letter of Action - Dec. 19, 2025

An open letter and local, national and international call to action for public help for information on missing Liam Toman at Mont-Tremblant Resort. Liam went missing on Feb. 2, 2025, and the search for new information took on added urgency with the discovery of Liam’s wallet in March 2025, which has since led the Sûreté du Québec to view the case as a matter of criminal activity and issue a release for a significantly hiked reward of $50,000 offered by Sun Youth Organization.

“Somebody knows or saw something. Let’s together bring Liam home.”

Dear visitors and ski enthusiasts and ski clubs as well as local Mont-Tremblant residents, second-home owners, investors, business owners, property managers, seasonal and tourism workers, artists and performers, municipal and community leaders—and those in and around your networks here and away, A ski season has come and gone, itself bringing new information in the search for our son, and now another is beginning.

For our family, this passage of time only deepens our hope that someone will remember something that can help bring answers. We are asking for your help in bringing forward clues or any new information related to what may have happened to Liam on that night or after. We last spoke to the Sûreté du Québec on December 11 2025 and know the investigation remains active and criminality suspected.

This is an opportunity for a breakthrough and help now is crucial. Thousands of people were in the region around the time of our Liam’s disappearance, and even the smallest detail could be the key to bringing Liam home. A single, previously overlooked photograph, a person in the background of an image, or a passing comment made in a group chat or in a post or tag read even thousands of miles away could provide crucial evidence to advance the case.

We stress that, with the collective effort of a concerned local, national and international community, finding Liam is possible. A few minutes will make a huge difference - what we are asking you: If you or someone you are connected to visited the Mont-Tremblant resort last season, in the early morning of February 2nd, 2025, or later, please:

  1. Scroll back through your phone’s photos and videos, including anything taken from chairlifts, trails, the village, restaurants, shuttles, parking lots, or accommodations.

  2. Check your car recordings: some EVs such as Tesla store video, automatically recording and storing surrounding actions, when in sentry mode.

  3. Review social media posts and stories, including any you or friends near or far may have been tagged in.

  4. Check group chats or messages from friends or family who were with you that weekend.

  5. Talk about it when out and about, and talk with the people you travelled or skied with–a brief comment or forgotten moment might spark a memory.

  6. Share Liam’s story and this message so others can do the same - visit https://liamtoman.com Use your platform: if you have a storefront, a listserve, a newsletter, a show, a stage, a vehicle, a bulletin board, or a platform of any kind, we ask you to help share Liam’s story.

  7. No detail is too small! But it is urgent.

Please also consider whether you noticed any awkward situations or interactions of a potentially criminal nature and report these details immediately.

No matter how small or uncertain a detail, please contact the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
Thank you for looking back and thank you for looking forward.

Together, Tremblant, for Liam.

With love and hope, Liam’s family.
